    ENBRAIN TRAINING SESSION IN TUNIS :

    During the days from 8th-13th of October, a training session was taken place in Tunis, with the support of ENBRAIN project. The training covered various topics such as concentrated solar power, thermal and electrical storage, energy markets and regulation, low energy building and districts, innovation in teaching, etc. This event was defined within the strategic guideline of ENBRAIN project and its mail goal: building capacity in renewable and sustainable energies in Libya.

    The courses presented by the EU partners POLITO, UEVORA, UNIMED and UBARCELONA, sharing their expertise in these topics to a high-level audience from the Universities of Sirte, Tripoli, Misurata, Sebha and Zawia.

    ENBRAIN SECOND MID-TERM MEETING IN ÉVORA (Portugal):

    During the days 26 e 27 of February, the second mid-term meeting of ENBRAIN project took place at Palácio do Vimioso in Évora (Portugal). The host partner was the University of Évora. The event welcomed a total of 24 partners from Politecnico di Torino (POLITO), Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED), University of Tripoli, Zawia University, Misurata University, Sirte University and Sebha University. The meeting started with the institutional greetings and the presentation of the agenda of the meeting from the Professor Manuel Collares-Pereira, chairman of the Renewable Energies Chair of the UE. Prof. Collares-Pereira expressed his sincere thanks to all the Libyan partners that faced a long trip to attend to the meeting in Portugal.

    Throughout the two days, fruitful discussions took place between between the partners, fostering the cooperation between all the institutions to achieve the goals of the project. The delegates of Sirte University attended this meeting consisted of: Dr. Abdulsalam M. Abdulgader  (the Vice president), Dr. Eltayeb Elgobbi (ICO Director), and Imhemed Elhasoni (Head of Mechanical Dept.).

    Meeting of the directors of the WHEEL project of Libyan universities at the University of Sirte
    The meeting of the WHEEL project for the development of higher education institutions in Libya was hosted by the University of Sirte on 25-11-2019, where all the partners from Libyan universities participated in the meeting. Eressms + Project Manager Dr. Ali Bakir also participated. Several points of interest were discussed in the implementation of the project in the Libyan universities, which were discussed the outcomes of the ROUNDTABLES that were implemented in various Libyan universities, where these results were adopted for publication on the site of the European Union projects in Libya, and the method of implementation of the University of Sebha ROUNDTABLE as an official model was adopted, In the implementation of the rest of the project in the rest of the Libyan universities partner in the project. The meeting also reviewed the partnership agreement between the Libyan universities, the Italian universities of Genoa and the Spanish University of Alicante, where some amendments were made.     The kick off meeting of PAgES.

    The kick off meeting of PAgES project took place in Milan during the days 25 e 26 of March 2019. The host partner was the IULM University – Milan. Throughout the two days, successful discussions took place between the partners, encouraging the cooperation between all the Universities to accomplish the objectives of the project.

    The first meeting of Libyan partners of PAgES project

    A meeting of PAgES project has been held in the university of Al Zawia on Tuesday 3/Sep/2019 with the participation of all the Libyan partners (university of Tripoli , university of Al Zawia, university of Sirte, university of Misurata).

    It’s considering the first meeting involving all the Libyan partners focusing mainly on the preparation for the second meeting of PAgES project which will be held in Tunisia on the forthcoming month in October 2019.

    During the meeting , the partners has discussed many important issues related to the project so far , most importantly on the preparation of the curriculum and syllabus of the project which is carried out by the university of Al Zawia under the work package 2 (Design of the master program). In addition, the partners shed light on the management of the project, that is solving all the administrative aspects linked to the project management and highlighting the importance of collaborating among partners in this domain .
