Signing a Scientific Cooperation Agreement between Sirte University and Amman Arab University in Jordan
Amman Arab University and Sirte University of Libya have recently entered into a memorandum of understanding, signed on Sunday, June 26, 2022. The objective of this agreement is to enhance scientific and research cooperation between the two institutions and promote collaborative efforts in developing the educational process. The signing ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Amman Arab University, and Dr. Sulayman Alshater, President of Sirte University. The Libyan delegation, comprising Dr. Ahmed Aldweik, the Cultural Attaché at the Libyan Embassy, Vice President of Sirte University, Dr. Altayeb Algubi, and Dr. Anas Al-Saud, Assistant to the President for External Affairs at Amman Arab University, was also present.
Under the memorandum of Association, the universities have agreed to cooperate in various activities and programs related to joint research, improving the efficiency of research centers, establishing shared supervision in postgraduate programs, and collaborating on joint projects with the European Union through the Erasmus+ program. Furthermore, the agreement encompasses cooperation in global rankings, quality systems, and digital transformation.
Dr. Sari Hamdan highlighted that the memorandum reflects a shared interest in advancing education and scientific research in both universities, while also emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation in research, development, training, and knowledge transfer between the two sides. Additionally, it aims to establish bridges of scientific collaboration between local and regional educational institutions. Dr. Sulayman Alshater described the memorandum as a groundbreaking step towards progress and advancement in the scientific and research fields between the two universities, commending the esteemed reputation of Amman Arab University.
