A Memorandum of Understanding has been established between the Hashemite University (HU) and Sirte University.
On June 26, 2022 at 8:30 pm, Sirte University and the Hashemite University of Jordan (HU) have entered into a memorandum of understanding in order to bolster scientific collaboration between the two institutions and collaborate towards the advancement of the educational process. The agreement was officially executed by Dr. Sultan Al-Ma’ani, Vice President of the Hashemite University, and Dr. Sulayman Al-Shatir, President of Sirte University. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed members of the Libyan delegation, including Dr. Ahmed Al-Dweik, and Dr. Al-Tayyeb Al-Qobbi, as well as the Jordanian delegation including Dr. Adnan Muqattash, Dr. Mohammed Al-Masha’ala, Dr. Alaa Iftiha, and Mr. Hassan Adam, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
The memorandum encompasses various aspects of cooperation, including joint planning and execution of scientific research, academic and cultural exchanges, sharing educational and research experiences, organizing scientific seminars and conferences, exchanging students and researchers, and harnessing the universities’ capabilities in developing graduate programs. Furthermore, the MoU entails the exchange of faculty members’ visits, publications, sending final-year students for training courses or field studies, facilitating collaborative efforts among researchers in the medical, applied, and humanitarian sciences, as well as streamlining procedures for admitting students into graduate programs.
Dr. AL-Ma’ani emphasized that this memorandum signifies a commitment to fostering cooperation in scientific and cultural research, development, training, and knowledge transfer between the two institutions. He highlighted the Hashemite University unwavering dedication to elevating the standards of education and scientific research, while also forging connections for scientific and cultural collaboration with local and regional educational establishments. In turn, Dr. Al-Shatir described the memorandum as a pivotal milestone in advancing scientific and research endeavors between the two universities, commending the esteemed reputation of Hashemite University within the local Jordanian and Arab academic community.
