On 17/09/2023, the President of Sirte University participated in a meeting held at the Faculty of Engineering, which was attended by several faculty members and engineers.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the establishment of teams that will be responsible for conducting studies on dams located in the valleys of Sirte. These studies will involve the submission of scientific reports to the appropriate authorities. In collaboration with various relevant organizations, these teams will carry out a voluntary study under the supervision of the Faculty of Engineering at Sirte University. The study will focus on examining the dams in the adjacent valleys of Sirte, to scientifically identify their requirements and present them to the responsible authorities. It was anticipated that these teams would commence their work in the middle of the week, following the establishment of a schedule that outlines the process of identifying the dams, conducting field visits, and collecting pertinent information.
