A scientific Symposium on national reconciliation in Libya was held at Sirte University on October 1st, 2023, organized by the Center of Community Service and Environmental Development

. Faculty members from Economics, Literature, and Law departments participated, presenting research papers on historical, political, social, economic, and legal perspectives. The conference coincided with the UN's International Day of Peace, and yielded recommendations such as involving all Libyan factions in reconciliation efforts, promoting reconciliation culture, establishing national justice mechanisms, and highlighting the role of experts and media in promoting reconciliation.
