On October 4, 2023, the Presidents of Libyan Universities held a meeting  at gulf of Sidra University to discuss various educational matters. Among the topics addressed were the ffinancial benefits for teaching staff, support for higher education studies, and scientific Sabbaticals for faculty members.

The discussion also focused on how to support universities by providing all the necessary requirements and technical capabilities to raise the level of performance. During the meeting, a report was prepared summarizing all the demands and topics discussed, which were submitted to the government for implementation. Additionally, a committee was formed to collaborate with the Parliamentary Education Committee to discuss several topics, including Resolution No. (4) and university budgets and specializations.
