A collaborative meeting occurred between  Sirte University and several Indonesian universities, with the presence of the Charge d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy to Libya, Dedi Ahmad Rafi, and Dr. Sulayman Alshater, the President of Sirte University. In attendance were deans of colleges, directors of offices, and departments from the Sirte University, as well as several Indonesian university presidents.

Topics discussed included the introduction of the universities, exchange opportunities, cooperation, and the Indonesian experience in dealing with crises and developing agricultural and marine projects.

The Charge d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy to Libya expressed gratitude towards the Sirte University and presented a commemorative gift to the University's President, emphasizing his commitment to maintaining communication between Libyan and Indonesian universities. In return, the President of Sirte University presented the Charge d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy with a commemorative painting representing Sirte city and the University, reaffirming the University's desire to benefit from all the scientific experiences from around the world
