The Center for Community Service and Environmental Development at Sirte University, in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental Development at the Faculty of Human Medicine
organized on Thursday morning, 7 March, 2024, in Prof. Mousa Mohamed Mousa hall, a scientific symposium on the occasion of World Hearing Day, entitled “The Awareness Program to Commemorate World Hearing Day.”
In the presence of the President of the University, the Vice president for Academic Affairs, the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Director of the Center for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Director of the Department of Higher Studies and Training, the Director of the E-Learning Center, the Director of the Office of Social Service and Psychological Support at Sirte oncology Center, a number of office managers in Sirte Education Monitoring, and a number of faculty members and students.
Part of the symposium was also attended by a delegation of faculty members from the University of Derna
The symposium was also attended by a number of hearing-impaired people in the city and a number of their parents.
The symposium opened with many speeches that spoke about the university’s role in serving the community by providing scientific studies in various specializations, especially with regard to caring for people with special needs. The symposium included a scientific session chaired by Dr. Aisha Embarak and Dr. Juma Al-Rujail, during which many research papers were presented.
