On Friday, April 19, 2024, the accreditation auditing team for the Faculty of Medicine arrived in the city of Sirte. They were welcomed by a group of university officials, including the university president, vice president for academic affairs, dean of the Faculty of Medicine, director of the university's Quality Office, and other representatives from the Faculty of Medicine, including the head of the quality department and the director of the administrative affairs office.
The team, led by Dr. Sulayman Atiya Hammad Bilal, was assembled by the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions. Their assigned tasks were scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 20, 2024, and continue until Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
The purpose of their visit is to conduct an audit of the programmatic accreditation file that was submitted by the Faculty of Medicine. This comprehensive audit includes tours of the university, the faculty, and its facilities, which encompass healthcare facilities associated with medical training for the students. Additionally, there will be multiple meetings with university leadership and dedicated sessions for the assigned team to discuss the accreditation file. These sessions will involve a thorough review of the data and information that will be audited during their visit.
