The activities of the first international scientific conference at the Faculty of Literature and Sciences - Zamzam launched this morning in the hall of the late Abu Zahwa Marhi, The opening session was attended by the President of the University, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the General Secretary, and a number of deans of Faculties and faculty members at the University.
Also present were the President of Zamzam Social Council, Mr. Abdullah Al-Tabouli, Dr. Hussein Mrgin, Secretary of the Arab Association for Social and Human Sciences and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, and Dr. Fathi Al-Mansouri, Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, Dr. Muhammad Al-Tayeb, representative of the Director General of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, and Engineer Muhammad Al-Hussan, representative of the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, the official sponsor of the conference.
During the opening session, many speeches were delivered that spoke about the importance of holding these scientific forums because of their prominent and effective role in stimulating scientific research, enriching scientific libraries, and serving society in various aspects.
For his part, the University President stressed in his speech the interest of the university administration in supporting scientific conferences for their prominent role in advancing the educational process in all institutions of higher education and scientific research centers, adding that Sirte University which covers the geographical area from Marada in the east to Zamzam in the west, always seeks to support researchers in various Scientific fields.
During the opening session, many video recordings were presented about the university, the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, and the cooperating parties to make this scientific forum a success.
During this session, certificates of thanks and shields were presented to the entities and people who cooperated to make the conference activities a success.
It should be noted that the research papers submitted for the conference were thirty papers, of which twenty-two papers were accepted by the Scientific Committee after they were subject to arbitration by a number of experts and evaluators who belong to Arab and international universities and research centers.
