At the Faculty of Engineering, a workshop entitled “The Path to the Development of Higher Education - Application of the European Academic Units System in Higher Education”, was organized

and presented by Dr. Saleh AlSadig, in cooperation with Dr. Muftah Albakush, and Dr. Nasr Ashtawa.

The workshop shed light on the European Academic Units system, which is backbone of the Bologna Agreement for the development of higher education in Europe. The workshop was attended by Dr. Sulayman Alshatir, the University President, the Vice President for academic Affairs, the Dean of the faculty of Engineering, the Director of Postgraduate Studies and Training Department, the Director of the International Cooperation Office, the Director of the Office of Quality and Performance Evaluation, along with many other interested members at he university.

The workshop reviewed the steps included in the Bologna Agreement for the development of higher education and the requirements for actual implementation for the unit system. The workshop was followed by an open discussion among the attendees.
