The Faculty of Law aims to demonstrate universities' role in community service and highlight crucial issues by addressing related legislation. The conference offers an opportunity for academics and professionals to participate in their relevant research on Legislation Frameworks Governing Investment in Libya. The topic is considered one of the most prominent issues related to human development. Experts and professionals can contribute to this area of research, support investment in Libya, and advise the legislators through their studies and recommendations to develop an investment regime to achieve stability through reconstruction and sustainability.

:Objectives of the Conference

:The conference aims to

- To attain an intelligible concept of investment for a stabilized community.

- To examine national legislations, international agreements, and alternative means of dispute settlement related to investment in Libya.

- To urge relevant authorities to support the national economy by providing administrative facilities and legal assurance for attracting investments in Libya.

- To enable academics and professionals to present investment-related studies and contribute to state-building and reconstruction.

Themes of the conference

Theme 1: Investment in International Public Law

i. The role of international conventions to attract investment

ii. The role of international centers to resolve international investment contracts disputes

iii. International assurance for foreign investments

iv. International protection of Arab and foreign investors

Contest Terms

 

1.Proposals should be in Arabic.

2.Proposals should be related to one of the themes of the conference.

3.Proposals should not be quoted from master's or doctoral theses.

4.Proposals should not be previously published in a conference, peer-reviewed journal, or peer-reviewed workshop.

5.Page limits: minimum of (15) pages and maximum of (30) pages.

6.Layout and Style: - Font: Simplified Arabic. - Font Size: Headings (16), Body and Subheadings (14), Margins (12). - File type: Word Document. .

7.All research shall be subjected to a scientific peer review.

8.Participants should not exceed 2 per proposal.

9.Sirte University shall overwrite subsistence and accommodation costs for out-of-town participants.
