On September 04, 2023, The President of Sirte University, Dr. Sulayman Al-Shatir, conducted a working and follow-up visit to carry out a project aimed at maintaining and renovating the administrative and service site of the Faculty of Agriculture and several  departments within the university.

The site contains two floors, including a number of administrative offices for the scientific departments along with three study and meeting rooms. During the visit, Dr. Al-Shatir, accompanied by the university general registrar, the director of the media office, the dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and several faculty members, engaged in discussions regarding the ongoing maintenance work, which has already surpassed a completion rate of fifty percent. "Al-Shatir" and his colleagues also inspected the specialized scientific departments of the faculty to oversee the commencement of preparations for the upcoming academic year. In the course of this follow-up, the university president announced the government's approval to initiate the construction of a large new auditorium at the Faculty of Medicine. In a statement to (LANA) correspondent in Sirte, he elaborated on the ongoing efforts to overcome the obstacles hindering the completion of the university auditoriums project, which has been o n hold since 2011.
