The Women  Empowerment Office at Sirte University convened a meeting on October 12, 2023, to discuss various subjects aimed at underscoring the significance of women's contributions to societal development.

During this meeting, the readiness for the emergency meeting of women support and empowerment offices at the Ministry of Higher Education, and Libyan universities, which is anticipated to be held the following week at Sirte University, was assessed. The University President was also in attendance and outlined the measures that Sirte University has implemented to empower women by granting them leadership opportunities within the university and assisting them in achieving success on an equal footing with men.
