Sirte University commemorated World Teachers' Day by honoring educators from Derna Schools, who lost their lives as a result of the floods that swept the city recently.

The event featured speeches addressing the significant loss of life, including numerous teachers and university professors, and highlighted the importance of rebuilding affected cities, constructing educational institutions, and offering psychological support to the affected communities. The celebration was organized by the Libyan Educators Association in Sirte.
