This morning witnessed the convening of a scientific seminar at Sirte University, under the title "The Banking System: A Nexus between Theory and Practice." This event was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Center at Sirte University
in collaboration with the Finance and Banking Department at the Faculty of Economics. The opening of the seminar was marked by a speech from the President of Sirte University, wherein he underscored the noteworthy role played by the institution in serving the community and engaging with service-oriented establishments in the city. This collaboration aims to enhance performance and capitalize on scientific expertise, as the university serves as a center of knowledge for the community. Subsequently, several speeches were delivered during the event, praising the establishment of such scientific forums.
The seminar encompassed the presentation of several specialized scientific papers within the realm of banking. These papers explored the scientific concepts and theories governing banking institutions, as well as their practical application. Furthermore, they investigated scientific research pertaining to the banking field and the obstacles impeding its implementation. Distinguished representatives from various banks in Sirte were present at the event. They shared practical examples and experiences related to banking and development needs, drawing insights from specialized scientific studies. At the conclusion of the seminar, the Scientific Committee formulated a number of scientific recommendations that shed light on key concepts and proffered scientific proposals to bridge the gap between theory and practice, aiming to enhance and advance banking services.
