On Thursday, February 1, 2024, a Zoom meeting was held between the editorial board of the Journal of Economic Studies, affiliated with the Faculty of Economics at Sirte University, and the Libyan Center for Economic Research.

The purpose of the meeting was to explore potential collaboration between the two parties. Specifically, they discussed the selection of distinguished research papers for an upcoming international scientific conference on waste valorization and recycling, titled "From Wasted Economic Value to Wealth." The conference, scheduled to be organized by the Libyan Center for Economic Research in June 2024. The selected papers from the conference will be published in the Journal of Economic Studies, following the publication guidelines and regulations specified by the journal.
