The Higher Education Ranking (HE) is an annual institutional classification that includes 1000 universities around the world. The classification’s methodology is based on 25 general standards, each standard having its own weight and percentage.

In its second edition, which included 303 universities around the world, Sirte University ranked first locally, eighteenth in the Arab world, and ninth in Africa. Globally, it ranked 57th with a total of 7039 points.
