Sirte University celebrated the National Information Technology Day in Prof. Mousa Mohamed Mousa Hall. The ceremony organized

by the Student Union of Sirte University and the Faculty of Information Technology, in the presence of the University President, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean of Faculty of Information Technology, and a number of directors of university departments, centers and offices.

 The ceremony included recorded presentations documenting the objectives of the Faculty of Information Technology and its scientific specialization, and explaining the importance of paying attention to technology in modern life. Then some research summaries related to the topic of the ceremony were presented. The first paper by the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Abu-Ageila, on the importance of applying e-learning patterns in the educational environment.  the second paper is on cyber security by Dr. Moftah Al-Dabar, Registrar of the Faculty of Information Technology. the third scientific paper by Dr. Muhammad Al-Taeb from the Faculty of Law was on the nature of the cybercrime law approved by Parliament last year.

After that, the students who had the best projects in the last semester presented their projects in the field of information technology, as follows:

- The first project: by student Safaa Abu Labeida, entitled Designing a System for Basic Education Schools

- The second project: by the student Fathallah Khaled entiteled: designing a system for the office of study and examinations, specifically directed to the preliminary stage at the University of Sirte.

Then students from different faculties participated, after presenting these projects, to choose the best technical project during this competition by evaluating faculty members at the Faculty of Information Technology, where two projects submitted to students Abd al-Rahim Fathallah and Ahmed Abd al-Fattah Ahmed, and the project of the student Abd al-Rahim Fathallah got the best evaluation, The event was also accompanied by an exhibition of technical equipment such as computers, networking equipment and communications technology
